Ethnic Albanians for centuries have fought to preserve our existence. It’s been a long fight for our alphabet, our language, history, culture, art, philosophy, literature, and land. Throughout history, our neighbors and the world superpowers have always wanted not just a piece of what was ours, but all of it. We were never asked politely. We were brutalized through genocide, war, killings, and lies. We were forced into a long amnesia so that we would forget that our father was Zeus. We were made to believe that we never spoke, even though we gave all letters life. We were made to believe we never lived, even though we have written in our DNA the wrinkles of all time. We were made to believe that we never owned our lands, even though we were the native indigenous people when others arrived.

Today we are here to claim what’s ours and celebrate our heritage fearlessly!

Our roots go very deep and it took us a lot of blood, tears and sweet to nourish them. Let’s celebrate the blossoms of many thousands of years of our bold existence!

Love to all the Albanians in the World!
